Humans are responsible to produce Mini is renowned design engineer at the time, Sir Alec Issigonis who originate from Smyrna, Turki.Issigonis also are responsible for creating another mini-sized vehicles, known as the Morris Minor.In line with world oil shortage at the time, Alec directed design of small-sized car that is able to reduce oil consumption.Sketch design started when he passed the four British men on a low chair. After taking into account measurement engine and luggage space, born sketches 10 feet 0.25 inch long, 4 feet 7.5 inches wide and 4 feet 5 inches tall.

On 26 August 1959, was born the first version of the BMC Mini and began producing 50 earliest model vehicle with an engine capacity of only 848 cc. At that time, said the vehicle Mini model the most simple and 'pure' which is easy to handle, clean, economical, agile and exciting. Because the vehicle is the most economical gasoline, it is in high demand from European society and BMC were sold up to 200,000 units. Mini recognized versatile and attractive to be the vehicle of choice in the era of the 1960s.

After a few years, sales are increasing and BMC Mini produce several versions but the most popular is the Mini Cooper S was released in 1963 using 1.071 cc engine that can reach a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour. High-performance version was produced together with famous racing car manufacturer, John Cooper. The car quickly became a fashion or lifestyle until his prowess was on display in the film The Italian Job in 1969 that shows Mini afford down the stairs, took obstacles, shrewd move on the road and high jump on a moving bus.

Millionth Mini Cars released in 1965 and the following year joined BMC British Leyland Mini Clubman while maintaining yield as the top model at the time. In 1980, British Leyland Austin Mini Metro released version. Mini Car to-5, 387.862 issued in 1986 before becoming a member of the company involved and the Rover Group in 1994. Next, from the German carmaker, BMW Group bought Rover Group, including the right to issue Mini model. Now, the BMW Group continued its efforts to maintain the legendary Mini by removing the New Millennium Mini model that incorporates technologies Rover and BMW and Chrysler.
